NHS or private treatment?

It is your choice. On your first visit, you can make your choice or ask us for advice.

Treatments

Private and NHS treatment are both available at Seaside Dental Practice, and we welcome new patients. Seaside Dental Practice has an agreement with the Surrey and Sussex Area Team for NHS England to provide services as far as NHS funding will allow. NHS dental treatment includes all treatment necessary to secure and maintain your oral health.

For patients preferring to be more involved in the selection of superior Dental materials, technologies and laboratory works or wishing to have treatments which are not available on NHS, such as posterior (back teeth) composite (white) fillings or for those requesting purely cosmetic treatments such as tooth whitening, Seaside Dental Practice offers a full range of private treatment options.

Details of private treatment options are available on a personal basis from your dental surgeon.

Specialist treatments

We are able to provide adult orthodontics, i.e. Cfast and Six Month Smiles, as an in-house option. Children requiring orthodontic treatment are referred to an orthodontic specialist either under the NHS or on a private basis. We can also refer you to a specialist dental centre should you require more complex treatment.

Urgent treatments and out-of-hours care

Urgent treatment means treatment that the dentist considers necessary to relieve severe pain or prevent your oral condition from deteriorating before you can make a routine appointment. If you are in pain during surgery hours, please telephone the practice, and every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible. If you are in pain outside of surgery hours, contact the emergency dental service at 01323 449 170 or call NHS on 111.
